In Fertility Awareness based methods, we learn to observe, interpret and chart the body’s signs of fertility and infertility. I am a certified teacher of the Justisse Method – a sympto-thermal method of Fertility Awareness that is based on up-to-date scientific facts about the female body. Every day the female body goes through cyclical physiological changes. By learning to read these changes, we can understand which days of the menstrual cycle are fertile and which days are infertile. In Fertility Awareness, we call this body literacy.


The menstrual cycle is dynamic and changeable, therefore all observations are made in real-time on a day-to-day basis, and we never use calculations based on previous cycles to assess fertility. Thus the sympto-thermal method is much more effective than for example the Rhythm Method and most fertility monitoring apps.

Using a Fertility Awareness Method gives a deep understanding of one's body. My passion for teaching Fertility Awareness began with my own discovery of natural birth control in 2009. In addition to providing me with safe birth control, using the method brought me closer to myself and my body - it helped me on my journey of self-discovery. After three years of successfully practising Fertility Awareness for birth control and holding informal workshops, I realized that I wanted to dedicate my life to teaching Fertility Awareness and menstrual cycle health. I have founded Our Fertility and the Body Literacy Kin as platforms for this work - places to meet, develop skills and find information and inspiration about Fertility Awareness and holistic reproductive health.


I received my education at Justisse College International, a world-leading institute that trains Fertility Awareness Educators and teaches holistic reproductive healthcare. Through my three years of studies, I gained a solid knowledge base in holistic physiology, endocrinology, nutrition and menstrual cycle charting. I have been working full-time as Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner since my graduation from Justisse College in 2017.

I am a certified Fertility Awareness Educator through the Association for Fertility Awareness Professionals, of which I'm also a member. I am also the funding chairperson for the Nordic Union for Fertility Awareness, and a certified Sensiplan educator.

On my own journey, I have successfully healed from chronic fatigue, burnout and menstrual cycle irregularities. I specifically worked with diet, nutritional supplementation, body-mind medicine and the Justisse Method of menstrual cycle charting. This has given me a solid understanding that a holistic approach to healthcare really comes down to addressing the root causes which lie behind the symptoms. It has also given me an empathic understanding of the struggles people with chronic health issues may be going through.
